The contract between TCS and life insurance company Athora Netherlands is extended
In order to provide the Dutch life insurance and pension provider with a better IT operating model to improve customer experience, operational resilience, and business agility, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has expanded its long-standing partnership with Athora Netherlands (formerly VIVAT).
The Indian IT services giant will benefit from this multi-year contract, which would provide it an advantage over its rivals in a demand environment that is unpredictable. The company withheld information about the deal's size and duration.
“ …Our deep domain, application and insurance operations expertise combined with the next-gen hybrid cloud architecture powered by TCS Enterprise Cloud will enable them to deliver unmatched customer experience and build resilience,” Hemakiran Gupta, Head of Banking, Insurance and Financial Services, Europe, TCS, said.
Athora Netherlands, previously known as VIVAT, and TCS first collaborated in 2015. With the most recent extension, the IT player will help Athora Netherlands achieve its "Ambition 2025" goal of being a top-tier pension and life insurance company.
As part of the contract, TCS will set up a hybrid cloud architecture for the company and automate and manage all business and IT processes for Athora's closed book of life insurance policies under the Reaal brand, including policy servicing, claims management, and customer service.
Additionally, TCS will integrate numerous Athora Netherlands personnel from its life service business and build a near-shore delivery center in Alkmaar, adjacent to the Dutch company's corporate center.
"The inducted employees will continue to perform the day-to-day management of the life service business in order to facilitate a smooth continuation of the services to Athora's customers," the company said.
