VST Tillers Tractors signs a deal with the US-based Solectrac

VST Tillers Tractors Limited has entered into an agreement with Solectrac of the United States for the development of an electric power tiller and other agricultural machinery.

The agricultural equipment manufacturer launched its Series 9 compact tractor line in early August, with six models available by the end of this month.

The Series 9 compact tractor range with 18 HP and higher will be included in the 4WD compact tractor sector. These are designed and developed at the Hosur factory of the company.

VST management stated in an exchange filing on August 25 that it intends to join the US market within two years. VST stated at the launch of six tractors that it will introduce three higher horsepower tractors in India next month and three more in Germany, including an electric tractor, in November.
