Zen Technologies secures ₹100Cr order from Ministry of Defence
Zen Technologies Limited has been awarded an order worth approximately ₹100 Crores (inclusive of taxes) by the Ministry of Defence, India, for its cutting-edge Force-On-Force Tank training system. This innovative system enables Tank Units and Sub-Units to conduct training on real terrains with authentic conditions, using their equipment, without the need for live ammunition. Designed, developed, and tested in-house by Zen, the system has received high praise during comprehensive trials, meeting the Army's training requirements effectively.
This marks the first order for force-on-force tank training simulators, and Zen anticipates strong demand both domestically and internationally in the future. The company also envisions the potential transition of the Army to the Zen Armoured Combat Training System (ACTS) for their force-on-force training needs. The ACTS seamlessly integrates with the Zen Tactical Engagement Simulator (TacSim) and enables training for combined arms detachments, including armour, infantry, and supporting arms. It can coordinate exercises for a combined arms battle group across various wartime operations.
This procurement underscores the Indian Armed Forces' commitment to modernize and enhance their training methods, aligning with the Framework for Simulators issued by the MoD in September 2021. Simulated training not only offers substantial cost and time savings but also significantly enhances efficiency.
