Tata Motors Group Reports Strong Global Wholesales in Q2 FY24
Tata Motors Group, including Jaguar Land Rover, demonstrated robust performance in global wholesales for the second quarter of fiscal year 2024. The figures showed a total of 3,42,376 units, marking a notable 7% increase compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year.
Within this, Tata Motors' commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range achieved global wholesales of 106,620 units during Q2 FY24. This represents a 3% growth over the corresponding period in FY23.
However, global wholesales for Tata Motors' passenger vehicles during the same period were at 1,38,939 units, which is a 3% decrease when compared to the second quarter of the previous fiscal year.
In the luxury segment, Jaguar Land Rover exhibited a substantial increase in global wholesales by 29%. Specifically, Jaguar reported wholesales of 13,560 vehicles, while Land Rover demonstrated robust performance with wholesales totaling 83,257 vehicles.
This positive performance reflects the Tata Motors Group's efforts to maintain a strong foothold in both commercial and passenger vehicle segments, as well as the impressive growth witnessed in the luxury vehicle market through the Jaguar Land Rover brand.
