Tata Power Solar Systems wins Rs 1,755 crore LoA to set up 300 MW solar project
In a competitive bidding process, Tata Power Solar Systems (TPSSL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power, was chosen by NLC India (previously Neyveli Lignite Company) to complete a solar project for Rs. 1,755 crore.
In the Rajasthani area of Bikaner, the corporation would establish a 300 Megawatt engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project for NLC India. According to a statement from the project, it will create more than 750 million solar power units and cut 6 trillion tonnes of carbon dioxide annually.
The entire project's execution, including designing, commissioning, and the evacuation system up until the delivery point, will be handled by TPSSL (220KV side of pooling sub-station).
After the declaration of commercial operation, TPSSL will continue to manage project operation and maintenance for three years. Within 18 months of obtaining the letter of grant, the project will be put into motion.
The company's entire solar portfolio under EPC will reach 11.5 GWp with this victory. The overall order book for TPSSL is currently around $17,000 crore.
