- The name of the Company was changed to Suraj Stainless Limited on December 16, 1999 and again attained its present name to Suraj Limited on June 24, 2011.
- The Company was promoted by Mr. Ashok T Shah, Mr. Dinesh S Shah and their associates. Company is India's leading Manufacturer of Stainless Steel Seamless Pipes, Tubes and 'U' Tubes, Flanges & Fittings with Electro polishing having plants at Thol and Chandarda, in Mehsana District of Gujarat.
- Earlier, it engaged into investment, leasing and finance.
- After amalgamation with Suraj Stainless Limited, the business of the Company was entirely changed into manufacturing Stainless Steel Welded pipes/Tubes. In 2007, the Company established separate manufacturing units like welded pipes/tubes, Seamless Pipes/ tubes.
