- Canara Robeco Asset Management Company Limited was incorporated as 'Canbank Investment Management Services Limited', pursuant to a certificate of incorporation dated March 2, 1993 and received a certificate for commencement of business dated May 10, 1993 from the Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra.
- Subsequently, Company name was changed from Canbank Investment Management Services Limited' to Canara Robeco Asset Management Company Limited' consequent to which a fresh certificate of incorporation was issued by the RoC dated October 10, 2007. Canara Robeco Asset Management Company is India's second oldest asset management company (AMC), and was incorporated in 1993 with the main object to manage the assets of Canbank Mutual Fund, with the entire equity share capital held by Canara Bank.
- In 2007, the Company became Canara Robeco Asset Management Company Limited, a joint venture, when Canara Bank entered into an agreement with ORIX Corporation Europe N.
