About AYM Syntex Ltd
- AYM Syntex Limited was initially incorporated as Kothari Leasing Limited on March 31, 1983.
- Thereafter, the name of the Company was changed to Kothari Polyesters Limited on 15 March, 1991 and to Welspun Syntex Limited on 26 July, 1991 and subsequently was changed to AYM Syntex Limited on 18th December 2015.
- Since its incepon, it has grown manifold and today is amongst the largest manufacturers and exporters of Polyester Filament Yarn, Nylon Filament Yarn and Bulk Connuous Filament Yarn from India. The Company set up a texturising unit at Silvassa in 1988 at a capital outlay of Rs 1.58 cr.
- Thereafter, more machines were added for twisting and draw twisting.
- WSL's other unit is located at Palghar (Thane district), Maharashtra.
