About NTC Industries Ltd
- NTC Industries Limited, is one of the oldest manufacturer of cigarettes in India.
- On September 1931 the company was incorporated as National Tobacco Company of India Limited.
- In 1994 RDB Industries Limited had purchased the asset and goodwill of the Company and the latter become to be known as NTC industries Limited.
- Since then, Company engaged in manufacturing of Cigarette and Smoking Mixture and general trading and rendering of services of letting out of properties. In December 1994, the Company went public with a premium of Rs. 10 to part-finance its longterm working capital requirements.
- Further it has also started commercial production of cigarettes in May 1994 in Calcutta but it has yet to start production in Andhra pradesh. In 1999, the Company acquired all the assets and properties of the New Tobacco Company (NTC) (in liquidation) including the Agarpara assets from the Hon'ble High Court at Kolkata in Open Court Auction.
