- In year 1972, Patel-Volkart Limited was amalgamated with the Company with effect from June 30, 1972 and the name was changed to Gokak Patel Volkart Limited on December 31, 1973.
- In 1992, Forbes Campbell & Co Ltd was amalgamated with the Company and the name of the Company was changed to Forbes Gokak Limited on September 28, 1992 and was further changed to Forbes & Company Limited on October 25, 2007. Forbes & Company Limited is one of the oldest companies of the world that is still in existence.
- The company operates with a diversified portfolio comprising Engineering, Industrial Automation, Consumer Durables (Water and Air Products), Chemical Tankers and Real Estate.
