Granules India receives an accreditation certificate from Japan, Brazilian drug regulators

A pharmaceutical company, Granules India, announced gaining an accreditation certificate from the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA), a Japanese organization, and compliance approval from ANVISA, the Brazilian health regulator.

The company's Jeedimetla plant in Telangana received the accreditation certificate, which is necessary for international pharmaceutical companies to sell medicines to Japan.

“The certification has been received for accreditation categories of non-sterile drugs, packaging, labeling, and storage of drugs,” the company said.

For its Bonthapally facility in Telangana, the company gained approval from the Brazilian regulator for complying with good manufacturing practices guidelines. Active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) are produced by a facility.

Pharmaceutical raw materials are produced by Granules India. The company specializes in finished dosages, pharmaceutical formulation intermediates, and active pharmaceutical components.
