Pankaj Sharma Board Membership

Shri Pankaj Sharma has been appointed as the Government of India Nominee Director on the Board of Punjab National Bank effective from April 11, 2022. He serves as Joint Secretary in the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, and has nearly two decades of experience in Public Financial Management, with extensive expertise in fiscal policy, financial reporting, internal control, and audit of information systems. Throughout his career, he has worked in sectors such as rural development, Panchayati Raj, and scientific research. He was actively involved with the Ministry of Finance's committee on the creation of the Senior Citizens Welfare Fund and the committee for preparing a roadmap for fiscal consolidation. Additionally, he has experience working with the World Bank and holds degrees in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and a Masters in Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.
