Aarey Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Limited was originally incorporated on May 15, 1990 as a private limited company in Mumbai with the name Niharika Textiles & Chemicals Private Limited.
The company was originally promoted by Prakash Mandhana, Kavita Mandhana and Neeta Mandhana.
In March, 1993, the Aarey Group of companies belonging to Ghatalia family took over the Company and it was converted into public limited company.
Also, the name of the company was changed from Niharika Textiles & Chemicals Private Limited to Aarey Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Limited. The Company is one of the manufacturer and suppliers of pharmaceutical raw materials, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals ingredients, API's Drugs, Food Colours and Flavours.
The company is engaged in the business of manufacturing, selling of drugs & pharmaceutical products and is governed by a number of central and state legislations that regulate the business.

Pentokey Organy (India) Limited was incorporated on November 26, 1986.
The Company is engaged in the trading of Pharmaceutical products such as Acetic Acid, Ethyl Acetate and Acetaldehyde.
Ethyl Acetate is preferred by customers in all markets as it is fast replacing the petroleum-based solvents such as Toluene, MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone), MIBK (Methyl Iso Butyl Ketone) etc. In 2012-13, the production of intermediate product namely Acetic Acid was not competitive due to market prices.
Company therefore purchased the Acetic Acid from market instead of producing the same from Ethanol or Acetaldehyde.
As a result of this, production of Acetaldehyde, which is an intermediate product for Acetic Acid, was low.
