About Astal Laboratories Ltd

Astal Laboratories Limited was formerly incorporated as a public company limited by shares on August 03, 1993 in the name of Macro International Limited.
The Company was taken over under SEBI takeover guidelines in 2022 and the main objects of the Company was changed to 'Manufacture and Sales of Pharmaceutical Intermediates and Bulk Drugs'.
Subsequently the name of the Company was changed to Astal Laboratories Limited in May, 2024.
The Company is now a subsidiary of Aceso Research Labs LLP. The Company was promoted by the Kanpur based business house of Parasrampurias.
The Company set up a departmental store at Plaza Kalpana, Birhana Road, Kanpur, offering products such as readymade garments, electronic items, leather items, stationery, books, fast food centre etc. During 1996-97, the departmental store project succeeded, only Saree Division and Archies Card Division was in operation.

About RPG Life Sciences Ltd

RPG Life Sciences Limited, formerly known as Searle India Limited, started in 1968 as a joint venture with GD Searle, USA. In 1993, GD Searle withdrew from India and sold its holdings to RPG Group.
The Company is engaged in manufacturing and marketing of Formulations (Finished Dosage Forms) and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). RPG Life Sciences Limited was incorporated on March 29, 2007 with the name 'RPG Pharmaceuticals Limited'.
During the year 2007-08, as per the Scheme of Arrangement, the Company acquired the Pharmaceuticals Business of Brabourne Enterprises Limited along with all assets and liabilities pertaining to that business with effect from April 2, 2007.
On February 13, 2008, the name of the Company was changed to RPG Life Sciences Limited. During the year 2008-09, the company increased the production capacity of Bulk Drugs and Chemicals from 62 tonnes to 71 tonnes.
