About Automotive Stampings & Assemblies Ltd

Automotive Stampings and Assemblies Limited (ASAL), a TATA AutoComp Systems Limited, subsidiary and a part of TATA Enterprise was incorporated in March, 1990 as JBM Tools Ltd and subsequently, on August 1, 2003, the name of the Company was changed to Automotive Stampings and Assemblies Limited. The Company is engaged in the business of manufacturing sheet metal stampings, welded assemblies, battery tray assemblies, aluminuim cooling tubes and heavy fabricated parts specifically for use in Passenger and Commercial Vehicles segment, 2/3 Wheelers segment, off-road segment.
They are having 5 manufacturing facilities located at Chakan 1, Chakan 2, Pune (Maharashtra), Pantnagar (Uttarakhand), Sanand (Gujarat) and Jamshedpur (Jharkhand). Initially, the Company was promoted by the SK Arya group and Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation.

Jagan Lamps Limited (JLL) was formerly incorporated in the name 'Jagan Li-Tech Lamps Limited' as a Public Limited Company on 8th January, 1993 and obtained Certificate of Commencement of Business on 2nd February, 1993 from the Registrar of Companies, Delhi & Haryana.
The name of the Company was changed from Jagan Li-Tech Lamps Limited to Jagan Lamps Limited during the period 1997-98. Company is primarily engaged in the manufacturing of Auto Bulb & Halogen Lamp and Electric Bikes.
The Company set up its own plant costing Rs.7.85 crore 100% EOU to manufacture automobile H4 type halogen lamps in technical and financial collaboration with Li-Tech Corporation of South Korea (9% equity holding).
It tapped the primary market during April 1995 to finance the project. The company introduced new concept in bulbs during 2000-01 by which it illumnates the Super white Light, Xemon, Gold, Green types of Lights suitable for New Generation drivers.
