Triveni Turbine Limited (TTL) was formerly incorporated as 'Triveni Sri Limited' on June 27, 1995.
The Company changed the name from Triveni Sri Limited to Triveni Retail Ventures Limited on 19 January, 2007 and was further changed from Triveni Retail Ventures Limited to Triveni Turbine Limited on March 12, 2010.

In FY 2014, GE Triveni Limited (GETL), a joint venture received an order for a 45 MW turbine from a cement manufacturer and a 31 MW order from a sugar manufacturer.
