The name of the Company was thereafter changed from 'Birla Ericsson Optical Limited' to 'Birla Cable Limited' w.e.f.
August 29, 2016. The company is engaged in the manufacture and sale of optical fibre cables and Jelly Filled Telephone Cables.
Optical fibre cables are the latest development in the field of telecommunication cables and are superior to the conventional cables in many aspects such as lower distortion, wider frequency band, no dampening of frequency and no electromagnetic interference.
