  • Bombay Wire Ropes Limited was incorporated on July 24, 1986.
  • The Company is engaged in manufacturing and sales of wire ropes, structural strands, slings and wires which find its application in general engineering, fishing, elevators, cranes, material handling, power transmission, suspension bridges, onshore / offshore oil exploration, ports and shipping, mining, defence, railways etc.
  • It is engaged in the business of trading of the steel related products. The Company's existing steel wire ropes manufacturing facility with an installed capacity of 12,000 MTPA is located at Atgaon.
  • It has a Pyrolysis Plant with an installed capacity of 1,260 MTPA at Chalisgaon, Maharashtra for production of oil, which is used as fuel in the current manufacturing process. In 2013, Company closed down its wire rope factory situated at Kolshet Road, Thane.

About Mukat Pipes Ltd

  • Incorporated in 1987 at Rajpura, Mukat Pipes Limited was promoted by B S Ahluwalia and his two sons to manufacture Submerged Arc Welded(SAW) Pipes.
  • Initially, the company had facilities in Patiala to manufacture 8000 tons per annum of large diameter (ranging from 12 inches to 100 inches) SAW pipes upto 6 mtr in length and upto 20 mm thickness.
  • The Company supply pipes to mini hydro power projects installed in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
  • The production of the Company was 1658.325 MT for FY 2024-25.
  • Apart from this, Higher Grades filler wires and corresponding flux is applied for the relevant specifications and Grades of Steels. Mukat Pipes entered the capital market by making a public issue in Jan.'93, to part-finance a Rs 16.9-cr expansion scheme to increase the installed capacity of SAW pipes upto 130 inches.
