About Bombay Wire Ropes Ltd
Bombay Wire Ropes Limited was incorporated on July 24, 1986.
The Company is engaged in manufacturing and sales of wire ropes, structural strands, slings and wires which find its application in general engineering, fishing, elevators, cranes, material handling, power transmission, suspension bridges, onshore / offshore oil exploration, ports and shipping, mining, defence, railways etc.
It is engaged in the business of trading of the steel related products.
The Company's existing steel wire ropes manufacturing facility with an installed capacity of 12,000 MTPA is located at Atgaon.
It has a Pyrolysis Plant with an installed capacity of 1,260 MTPA at Chalisgaon, Maharashtra for production of oil, which is used as fuel in the current manufacturing process.
In 2013, Company closed down its wire rope factory situated at Kolshet Road, Thane.

Unison Metals Limited (UML) is an associate company of UCM Group of Industries which started its operation in June, 1990 as a Private Limited Company and subsequently became as a Public Limited Company in February, 1995.
In Aug.'93, the Company took over Mohan Metals, a partnership firm engaged in the business of processing hot rolled sheets.
The Company's main business activity is trading and Manufacturing of Steel Patta and Ceramics Products.
It has 2 manufacturing units at Vatva, Ahmedabad, out of which, one unit is engaged in hot rolling of stainless steel sheets with an installed capacity of 4800 tons per annum and the other unit is engaged in the cold rolling of stainless steel with an installed capacity of 1080 tons per annum.
Since 18th April, 2011 the Company restarted few of the cold rolling mills for production of stainless steel sheets.
