CCL International Limited was originally incorporated on 04th June 1991 as 'Gupta Cements Private Limited' .The Company got converted into Public Limited Company and changed to 'Chirawa Cements Limited' and was again renamed to 'CCL International Limited'.
A fresh Certificate for change of name was obtained from ROC on 11th December 2008.
CCL is an Infrastructure Company executing major civil works including Roads, bridge, highways across the sectors in India. In 2012-13, the Company operated in diversified segments majorly in Infrastructure segment and others being: Trading of Steel, , Cements, and deals in different types of fabrics & fiber e.g. yarn, jute, Sofa Fabrics, cotton Fabrics & Grey Clothes, Iron & Ferrous & Non-Ferrous Metals and their Products. The Company began working with the German Technology in the year 2012-2013.

Indian Hume Pipe Company Limited, incorporated in 1926 is part of Walchand Harichand group.
The company manufactures Hume Pipes, Hume Steel Pipes, Pre-stressed Concrete Pipes, Bar Wrapped Steel Cylinder Pipes, Steel Penstock Pipes, RCC Poles, Septic Tanks, RCC Lampposts and Manhole covers.
It also undertakes contracts for erection and commissioning of water supply and sewage schemes for various state governments and municipal corporations , fabrication and erection of penstocks for various power projects, and executes work pertaining to lift irrigation Schemes.
In addition, it also manufactures and supplies PSC sleepers to the Railways. In 1979, National Rifles was amalgamated with the company.
The company exited from Sri Lanka due to unsatisfactory business prospects by selling its stake in it's subsidiary Industrial Hume Pipe Company, to one of the local directors of the Subsidiary at par value.
