Thereafter, Company name changed from Classic Electrodes (India) Private Limited' to Classic Electrodes (India) Limited', consequent to conversion of Company from Private to Public Limited on April 18, 2009 and a fresh Certificate of Incorporation was issued by the Registrar of Companies, Kolkata on June 13, 2009.
The Company is engaged in the business of manufacturing, welding electrodes and offering engineering solutions to customers in India and abroad. company has been operating a wide range of products such as general-purpose, low alloy, low hydrogen, stainless steel, hard-facing, cast iron, non-ferrous, and low heat input electrodes, as well as cutting and gauging electrodes and MIG wires.

Modison Limited was formerly incorporated as 'Modison Metals Limited' as a trading unit in 1965, by Mr. G.L. Modi, to deal in tool steels and export of engineering and general merchandise.
Later, the name of the Company was changed from Modison Metals Limited' to Modison Limited', pursuant to the fresh Certificate of Incorporation dated 22nd July, 2022.
