Colorchips New Media Limited was formerly incorporated on May 10, 1985 with the name as 'Millitoons Entertainment Limited'.
The name of the Company was changed from Millitoons Entertainment Limited to Colorchips New Media Limited on August 28, 2018.
Since then, Company engaged in production of films, domestic productions in the space of theatrical, web, TV and launching channels on new technologies.
The Company owns Digital Channels and operate on a vertically studio model controlling content.
In addition, it engage in distribution and exploitation across multiple formats globally, including cinema, digital, home entertainment and television syndication. During the year 2016-17, the Company incorporated a Wholly Owned Subsidiary in the name and style 'MIENT Hospitality LLC', Utah, USA on December 19, 2016 with the object of carrying the business of acquiring & running hotels and related businesses in line with the diversification plans of the parent company.

Filmcity Media Limited was initially incorporated in the name of 'Kavita Prakashan Private Limited' in April, 1994.
Thereafter, the name of the Company was changed to Filmcity Media Private Limited in June, 1995.
The status of the Company was converted into a Public Limited Company in July, 1995 and the name got subsequently changed to Filmcity Media Limited.
The Company is engaged in the business of Film production, Distribution and Exhibition. In 1995, the Company set up post production facilities of editing, dubbing, mixing, including making master of video software for telecast and also to enter into producing television software for television channels at Juhu Village, Bombay. To part-finance the capital expenditure incurred by the Company to set up its own video software production facilities for production of television software and to produce its own television serials, the Company made a public issue of 30 lac equity shares of Rs 10 each for cash at par aggregating Rs 300 lac.
