Colorchips New Media Limited was formerly incorporated on May 10, 1985 with the name as 'Millitoons Entertainment Limited'.
The name of the Company was changed from Millitoons Entertainment Limited to Colorchips New Media Limited on August 28, 2018.
Since then, Company engaged in production of films, domestic productions in the space of theatrical, web, TV and launching channels on new technologies.
The Company owns Digital Channels and operate on a vertically studio model controlling content.
In addition, it engage in distribution and exploitation across multiple formats globally, including cinema, digital, home entertainment and television syndication. During the year 2016-17, the Company incorporated a Wholly Owned Subsidiary in the name and style 'MIENT Hospitality LLC', Utah, USA on December 19, 2016 with the object of carrying the business of acquiring & running hotels and related businesses in line with the diversification plans of the parent company.

V R Films & Studios Limited was incorporated as a Private Limited Company with the name 'V R Films & Studios Private Limited' on December 31, 2007.
The Company had taken over the running business of M/s Visual Reality, a proprietorship concern of one of its Promoter vide Business Takeover Agreement dated December 31, 2007.
Thereafter, it was changed to 'V R Films & Studios Limited' and a fresh Certificate of Incorporation was issued by the Central Processing Centre with effect from March 11, 2019. The Company undertakes activities relating to Dubbing, Film Imports and Distribution.
The Company acquired foreign language films mainly from Hollywood and Chinese film industry and dub them in Indian Local language (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu etc.) and then distributed them theatrically or sub license to sub distributors across all licensed territories in all licensed languages including English.
