About Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd
Founded by Lala Ram Narain in May, 1933 with a daily cane processing capacity of 300 Tonnes, Dhampur Sugar Mills Limited has emerged as a prominent player in India's organised sugar industry.
It has evolved into one of India's established diversified sugar companies, engaged in the production of sugar, ethanol, chemicals and co-generated power.
DSML has a sugar unit at Dhampur (12 lac tca of cane), a sugar unit at Mansurpur (5 lac tca of cane), a paper unit at Sikandrabad (50 tpd), a unit of DSM Chemicals at Dhampur and a straw board unit.
To part-finance the setting up of one more sugar factory at Rouzagaon, Uttar Pradesh, having an installed capacity of 4.5 lac tca of cane, DSML went public with a rights offer of PCDs for a new plant.
The company adopted the conventional double sulphitation process for the clarification of juice, with gravity flow layout.

Indian Sucrose Limited, formerly known Oswal Sugars Limited was incorporated on 12th December, 1990.
It was originally promoted jointly by Punjab Agro Industries Corporation (PAIC) and Mukerian Papers Ltd. Subsequently Mukerian Papers Ltd. its nominee Companies including Malwa Cotton Spinning Mills Ltd. and Punjab Woolcombers Ltd. took over the Control of the Company.
Later, the name of the Company was changed from Oswal Sugars Limited to Indian Sucrose Limited with effect from December 4, 2003.

In year 1990, the Company set up a plant for the manufacture of white crystal sugar with an installed capacity of 2500 TCD, which was expanded to 12,000 TCD in Punjab.
