About Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd

Founded by Lala Ram Narain in May, 1933 with a daily cane processing capacity of 300 Tonnes, Dhampur Sugar Mills Limited has emerged as a prominent player in India's organised sugar industry.
It has evolved into one of India's established diversified sugar companies, engaged in the production of sugar, ethanol, chemicals and co-generated power. DSML has a sugar unit at Dhampur (12 lac tca of cane), a sugar unit at Mansurpur (5 lac tca of cane), a paper unit at Sikandrabad (50 tpd), a unit of DSM Chemicals at Dhampur and a straw board unit.
To part-finance the setting up of one more sugar factory at Rouzagaon, Uttar Pradesh, having an installed capacity of 4.5 lac tca of cane, DSML went public with a rights offer of PCDs for a new plant.
The company adopted the conventional double sulphitation process for the clarification of juice, with gravity flow layout.

About Ponni Sugars (Erode) Ltd

Ponni Sugars (Erode) Limited was initially incorporated in December 1996 as 'SPB Sugars and Chemicals Limited' and later on changed the name to 'Ponni Sugars (Erode) Limited' in 2000.
Company is the brainchild of late S Viswanathan, affectionately referred to as SV by his friends & associates, a renowned industrialist of the South.
It has a sugar factory at Erode having a capacity to crush 3500 tons of sugarcane per day and generate 19 MW of power. The Company is an offspring of Ponni Sugars and Chemicals Ltd (PSCL) under a Demerger Scheme sanctioned by the Hon'ble High Court of Madras on 10th September 2001.
The Erode Sugar Mill Undertaking of erstwhile Ponni Sugars and Chemicals Ltd was transferred to Company through the Scheme of Arrangement in 2001, which became effective from April 01, 1999.
