About Eastcoast Steel Ltd

Eastcoast Steel Limited was formerly incorporated on August 20, 1962 as Chudiwala Steels Limited.
The Company was converted into a Public Limited in September, 1988 and the name was changed to Eastcoast Steel Limited during the period 1996-97.
It was promoted by Western Ministeel Limited.
It manufactures mild steel billets, medium steel billets, low alloy steel billets, carbon steel, spring steel and forging - grade steel. These products are consumed by the re-rolling industry to produce various sections of steel as required by the construction and engineering industry. It came out with a rights issue in Dec.'92 to part-finance the expansion of capacity from one lac tpa to 1.5 tpa. The Steel Plant of the Company at Pondicherry was operational till 1995 and Company ceased to operate its Steel Plant in 1995 and since then, there has been no activity in the Company.

About Kalana Ispat Ltd

Kalana Ispat Limited was originally incorporated as Kalana Ispat Private Limited', a private limited company, with the Registrar of Companies, Gujarat, Dadra and Nagar Havelli, dated on October 15, 2012.
Subsequently, it converted from a private company into a public company, and the name was changed to 'Kalana Ispat Limited', and a fresh certificate of incorporation dated December 21, 2023 was issued by the Registrar of Companies, Ahmedabad. The Company started the operations in 2012.
Initially the Company's was engaged in trading of metal scraps, which was procured through imports from various countries, sourced from shipbreaking yards and local merchants.
As the business progressed, Company ventured into manufacturing of M.S. Billets and set up its manufacturing unit at Ahmedabad in February, 2015 and further installed Billet Caster machine in August, 2015.
