About H P Cotton Textile Mills Ltd

Promoted as a joint venture in association with the Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation, HP Cotton Textile Mills Limited is a leading manufacturer of cotton specialty yarns and cotton sewing threads catering to both local and export markets.
The Company manufactures cotton sewing thread, hosiery yarn and industrial yarn of different colours for sewing, weaving carpets and canvas belting, filter cloth, tarpaulins, taper, fishing nets, canvas cloth and industrial ropes.
It has a sewing- thread-cum-spinning mill. Balancing equipment was added to the thread division in 1992-93 to improve the product mix and range of products.
The products marketed under the Dora brand, besides being sold under DGS and D-rate contract to the defence sector, fertiliser units and tyre manufacturers, are also exported to Germany, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, etc.

Mahalaxmi Fabric Mills Limited was incorporated in India (Ahmedabad, Gujarat) as a Private Company with the name and style of 'Sonnet Colours Pvt Ltd' pursuant to a Certificate of Incorporation dated April 04, 1991, issued by the Registrar of Companies, Ahmedabad and subsequently the Company name had been changed to Mahalaxmi Fabric Mills Private Limited effective from 19th October, 2022. Initially Company was engaged, inter alia, in the business of Colours and Chemicals untill FY 2003-04.
Thereafter, the business discontinued, which subsequently changed its object clause from Colour chemical business to the Textiles business effective from September 23, 2022.
Since then, it has engaged in manufacturing and marketing of products falling under the Traditional Textiles Division. In 2024, the Scheme of Arrangement for Demerger between Mahalaxmi Rubtech Limited (MRT); the Company; and Globale Tessile Private Limited (GTPL) was implemented, where, the Traditional Textile Processing Division at Narol, Ahmedabad and Wind Power Division of Mahalaxmi Rubtech Limited along with existing investment of Mahalaxmi Rubtech Limited in its wholly owned subsidiary company namely Mahalaxmi Exports Private Limited was transferred to the Company with effect from April 1, 2024.
