Harrisons Malayalam Limited., a member of the RPG group is into various businesses including tea and rubber plantations; structural, civil, mechanical and electrical engineering activities; trading in and export of tea, coffee and spices; estate supplies and trading, clearing, shipping, air travel and air cargo activities; and bio-technology.
The Company is principally engaged in plantations having tea and rubber estates in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Harisons Malayalam Limited, formed in 1984 with the merger of Harrisons & Crossfield and Malayalam Plantations, came out with a Rights Issue in 1992 to part-finance its expansion and diversification projects.
The company's factories i.e.
Surianalle(Tea Factory), Kumbazha Centrifuge (Rubber Factory) and Achoor Factory are certified with ISO 9002.
About Norben Tea & Exports Ltd
Incorporated on 14 May, 1990 as Daga Plantations, Norben Tea & Exports acquired its present name in Apr.'94.
The principal business of the company is growing and manufacturing of tea.
Promoted by Shri Manoj Kumar Daga, Company already completed plantation in 121.46 hectare of land.
It established new tea plantations and a new factory in the traditional tea growing area of Berubari in Jalpaiguri Dist. of West Bengal, to manufacture tea with an installed capacity of 12 Lakh Kgs. of made tea, per annum.
The company started a new factory to manufacture tea with an installed capacity of 19 lakhs kgs. of made tea per annum.
Out of which typewise break-up comprises of 4.2 lakhs kgs. of top quality CTC type and 5 lakhs kgs. of Green Tea.
