Sayaji Hotels Limited (SHL) was incorporated in April, 1982 as a private limited company as 'Monali Land & Housing Company Private Limited' which was converted into a public limited company in April, 1987 and commenced its operations in January, 1990.

Other group companies include M P Agra Fertilisers and Welterman International.
