Promoted by Sardar Bhupinder Singh Jauhar, Jamna Auto Industries Limited (JAIL) was Incorporated in September, 1965.
The Company has manufacturing plants at Malanpur, Chennai, Yamuna Nagar, Jamshedpur, Hosur, Pillaipakkam and Pune and is presently engaged in manufacturing and selling of Tapered Leaf Springs, Parabolic Springs and Lift Axles for automobiles. The Company has entered into Joint Venture with NHK Spring Co. Ltd, Nissho Iwai Corporation, Japan & Allevard Ressorts Automobile, France for manufacture state of the art Coil Springs and Stabilizer Bars Primarily for supplies to the car market in India by a substantial foreign equity 85% and Company investing the balance 15%. Incorporated as a partnership firm, Jamna Auto Industries (JAIL) went public in Nov.'85.
Company started exports to General Motors Corporation, USA in February, 1998.

ZF Steering Gear (India) Limited was incorporated on January 21, 1981.
The Company is engaged in production & assembling of steering systems for vehicles, buses and tractors.
The Company work plants at Vadu Budruk, near Pune and at Pithampur (Madhya Pradesh). Present installed capacity of the plant is 2,00,000 units of Worm and Roller Mechanical Steering Gears and 3,75,000 units of Ball and Nut Integral Hydraulic Power Steering Gears.
ZF INDIA has state of the art technology in Design & Manufacturing various types of Power Steering Systems and Mechanical Steering Systems based on customers needs.
It is continuously in the process of widening its product base to meet the increasing demands of automotive market and is keen to diversify in appropriate product lines. ZF INDIA has an established business management system with certification for IATF 16949:2016 It has created service and spare parts network of around 60 dealers uniformly spread all over India, Nepal, Middle East, South Africa and Bangladesh to address to all its customer's needs.
