About Kothari Sugars & Chemicals Ltd

Kothari Sugars and Chemicals Limited (KSCL), was incorporated on 7 November, 1960 with a unit in Tamil Nadu.
The Company commenced its commercial production from 17.01.1963 and is engaged in the fields of Sugar, Distillery, petrochemicals, drugs, etc.
Kothari Sugars, the pioneers in manufacturing of sugar, now has two sugar units in Tamil Nadu one at Kattur and another at Sathamangalam village.
It operate in two subsidiaries. i.e Kothari Biotech Ltd and Kothari International Trading Ltd. In addition to sugar manufacturing, Kothari Sugars has facility for co-generation of power, production of industrial alcohol from molasses and bio-compost from press mud and distillery effluents.
The products comprise of Polybutenes, Para Nitro Chlorobenzene (PNCB) and Ortho Nitro Chlorobenzene (ONCB), etc.

About SBEC Sugar Ltd

Incoporated in 1991, SBEC Sugar Limited commenced its production of high quality white crystal sugar in 1994.
The company's plant is located in the heart of the sugar-cane belt of Western UP. The Unit has an installed capacity of 9000 MT of Sugarcane Crushing Per Day. The Company is engaged mainly in the manufacturing and selling of sugar and its related by products.
The Company commenced operations in 1990-2000 with capacities of 3125 TCD and increased to 8000 TCD. During 2001-02,28 tons boiler with 5 MW turbines were commissioned. Due to continuing losses,, Company could not pay the cane dues to the farmers on time due to which they agitated and disturbed the operations at plant and the management was forced to close down the plant from 8th July,2013 to 2nd August,2013, which affected the administration, repair & maintenance work of the plant during the year 2012-13.
