About Mahalaxmi Fabric Mills Ltd

Mahalaxmi Fabric Mills Limited was incorporated in India (Ahmedabad, Gujarat) as a Private Company with the name and style of 'Sonnet Colours Pvt Ltd' pursuant to a Certificate of Incorporation dated April 04, 1991, issued by the Registrar of Companies, Ahmedabad and subsequently the Company name had been changed to Mahalaxmi Fabric Mills Private Limited effective from 19th October, 2022. Initially Company was engaged, inter alia, in the business of Colours and Chemicals untill FY 2003-04.
Thereafter, the business discontinued, which subsequently changed its object clause from Colour chemical business to the Textiles business effective from September 23, 2022.
Since then, it has engaged in manufacturing and marketing of products falling under the Traditional Textiles Division. In 2024, the Scheme of Arrangement for Demerger between Mahalaxmi Rubtech Limited (MRT); the Company; and Globale Tessile Private Limited (GTPL) was implemented, where, the Traditional Textile Processing Division at Narol, Ahmedabad and Wind Power Division of Mahalaxmi Rubtech Limited along with existing investment of Mahalaxmi Rubtech Limited in its wholly owned subsidiary company namely Mahalaxmi Exports Private Limited was transferred to the Company with effect from April 1, 2024.

The Company has grown from a modest 16,000 spindles in the 1980s to 110,000 MT spindles, and it operate a dye house capable of dyeing(cotton and blended yarns and fibres) 35 tons per day and a yarn-dyed knitted fabric capacity of 8 tons per day. Headquartered in Chandigarh, Company is a premier manufacturer specialising in yarns and fabrics for knitting and weaving applications.
Situated in Baddi, the Company's state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities produce a diverse range of high-quality products, including 100% cotton melange yarn, cotton and synthetic blended mélange, speciality and dyed yarns (both carded and combed), tailored for downstream weaving and knitting processes.
