Incorporated in September, 1993 by Pritish Nandy, author, journalist, editor and TV host, in the name of Pritish Nandy Communications Pvt Ltd was converted into a Public company from March, 2000 and was renamed as Pritish Nandy Communications Limited (PNCL).
The Company is presently engaged in production and exploitation of content including cinematographic films, TV serials and Digital Series etc. for worldwide exploitation in all formats. The Company initially focused on production of news and current affairs programs on Doordarshan and later on gradually expanded its product offerings for all the major satellite channels producing comedy serials, chat shows, power interviews, corporate and business shows, environmental and animal rights shows, career shows, lifestyle shows, live election debates, exit polls, award shows as well as typical soap opera that cut across channels, genres and languages.

V R Films & Studios Limited was incorporated as a Private Limited Company with the name 'V R Films & Studios Private Limited' on December 31, 2007.
The Company had taken over the running business of M/s Visual Reality, a proprietorship concern of one of its Promoter vide Business Takeover Agreement dated December 31, 2007.
Thereafter, it was changed to 'V R Films & Studios Limited' and a fresh Certificate of Incorporation was issued by the Central Processing Centre with effect from March 11, 2019. The Company undertakes activities relating to Dubbing, Film Imports and Distribution.
The Company acquired foreign language films mainly from Hollywood and Chinese film industry and dub them in Indian Local language (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu etc.) and then distributed them theatrically or sub license to sub distributors across all licensed territories in all licensed languages including English.
