About Remsons Industries Ltd

Remsons Industries Limited (RIL) was earlier incorporated as Remsons Cables (P) Limited in 1971, becoming Remsons Industries Limited in late 1986 after going public.
It was promoted by Vishwa Prakash Harlalka and his family.
The Company is one of the major suppliers to the Automobile Manufacturers like Tata Motors, Hero Honda, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, Piaggio, General Motors India, TVS Suzuki etc.
The Company is manufacturing automotive control cables, flexible shafts, push pull cables and gear shifter assembly.
It operate six manufacturing plants in India. The promoters came out with an open offer for the sale of equity shares at a premium of Rs 40 in May '95 for re-deploying the proceeds to meet the cost of modernisation and expansion.

Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation Limited (BBTCL), incorporated on September 4, 1863 is multi-product and multi-divisional organisation with diverse business interests viz.
Plantations (Tea and Coffee), Auto Electric Components, healthcare and real estate.
Formed in 1863 as Burmah Trading Company by taking over the assets and rights in Burma of William Wallace, the Company was renamed 'Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation Limited'. The Corporation's activities are in tea, coffee, cardamom, cocoa, rubber and palm oil segments; manufacture of asbestos cement and concrete products, starch from tapioca; logging of timber, boat building and repairs.
These activities are spread over India, Indonesia, Thailand, Tanzania and Sabah. The Corporation has its tea plantation Estates in South India.
