Rungta Irrigation Limited was initially incorporated as a private limited company as 'Jindal Irrigation Pvt Ltd' on 17 April, 1986.
Company was originally promoted by S R Jindal and in 1992-93, following a takeover by the Rungta Group, led by Mr. R.S. Rungta in August 1993, name of the Company was changed to Rungta Irrigation Limited on April 4, 1994.
